Punch Drunk

I like to serve punch at parties because you don't see it that much anymore. I actually have four vintage punch bowls because when people realize I serve punch at parties they give me their old ones. One of these days I'm going to have a punch party with a different drink in every one of them, but not this year.

This year, I'm looking for a spooky punch bowl or at least something that says Halloween. Surprisingly, I haven't found many that pass my standards. Seriously, we must bring back the punch.

My favorite so far is also on sale at Williams-Sonoma. It's simple, but will look lovely with a dark colored punch.

This one is a close runner-up.

Ebay has several offerings that I like including some vintage glass, but they won't last long at this time of year so get your credit card out if you like anything you see.

That's it! That's all I could find that I would want to purchase. So sad. I would love to find this Eye Ball Punch Bowl by Department 56, but it has been discontinued and I can't find it anywhere. Let me know if you have one to sell.

I already own this lovely Devil Beverage Server by Department 56 that is now discontinued, but I'm having trouble with the spigot working correctly. I may have to put my husband on that repair task. I love it because you can put a candle underneath it to keep things warm. Perhaps some hot buttered rum?

The nice thing about serving a punch is that even if you put in Kool-Aid and cheap vodka it looks fancy. Make sure you have a good ladle, though. It can get messy very quickly.

  1. I am in love with that skull punch bowl! So perfect.

I bought the witch cauldron you shared two years ago - it's been a huge hit at my parties! Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

    1. I don't think one can ever have too many punch bowls. You could have a different one in each room of the party. I might even put fish in the skull. How fun would that be!
