Ghoulish Days

So, you want to be able to celebrate Halloween every day? Well, you almost can! Over the years, I've collected a number of spooky dates to celebrate and honor. Sometimes it's just by raising my glass in a toast or lighting a candle and, occasionally, I make the effort to gather people for a small party. The dark side of life and death should be looked at honestly, sometimes humorously, and acknowledged as part of life's cycle- not with reverence necessarily, but with respect. I hope you find this spooky calendar as a way to toast life. Please note that this is a work-in-progress.

P.S. I prefer to mark death dates rather than birth dates because remembering someone's death lets me honor their life's work.

P.P.S While you won't find murders here (except those surrounding Lizzie Borden), I do include witch trials because the women and men tried for witchcraft should be remembered as being falsely accused and a warning to not believe everything you hear (or read.)
