Winter Witchery

This week I'm posting just once with a collage of artists who have created a piece that reminds me of winter and witches. For the next few months or so, I'll just be posting to the blog on Mondays, but you can see the artists I've chosen for the week daily through my Facebook and Instagram accounts. You choose if you want to see it them all at once or sprinkled throughout the week.

Fantastic Miniature Scenes: Tiny Twisted Theatre

As a little girl, I was obsessed with doll houses and can still remember the Christmas when I received one. It was made by my uncle and I was so excited. This Christmas Eve I'm circling back to my love of miniatures combined with my love of the macabre. Judith M Sachs creates spooky room boxes that are a delight to look at. Her shop is Tiny Twisted Theatre

Tiny Halloween Art: Rob Husberg

You may have noticed I didn't post yesterday. I've been posting almost daily for over 5 years here and it still amazes me how many different Halloween artists I find! The daily posts have become a habit, but I feel I need a little break, so I've decided to change things up a bit starting next week. For the next several months I'll have a post here every Monday that will look like a Macabre Mix Monday. It will feature 7 different pieces from 7 different artists and then I'll highlight those artists on Facebook and Instagram throughout the week. If you want to see everything at once, check the blog on Monday morning. Otherwise follow my Facebook and Instagram accounts to see them one at a time throughout the week. As we get closer to Halloween, I'll ramp up the blog posts again. I'll also try to show a bit more of what spooky things I've been up to throughout the week. I hope you'll stay with me!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program. I love the tiny drawings by Rob Husberg. He specializes in original pen and ink drawings (ACEO) that are the size of a business card, but you'll also find larger pieces. All of his work is fantastic, but he has a special Halloween collection you need to check out.

Tiny Glass Terrariums: Enchanted Forest Minis

Typically Tuesdays are for haunting miniatures and I've been so busy lately I haven't had much time to research. When I came across Emily Herrera's tiny glass terrariums that housed equally tiny skulls I knew I had found a winner. The terrariums can be displayed in a haunted house or worn as a necklace. Her shop is Enchanted Forest Minis.
