Nicole Pangas makes plates, mugs, and vases that are just perfect for the dark winter season. They're covered in skulls and glazed in a darkness that seeps into your being. I like it. You see, if you can't change things you have to learn to enjoy them. I can't change the darkness of winter, but I can appreciate that Pangas captures some of the beauty of it. Just looking at Pangas's work makes me think of large bonfires and fur robes.
