Halloween Needle Punch: The Talking Crow

Learning to needle punch is one of those things on my bucket list. I'll get there eventually, but in the meantime I'm taking a look at the finished Halloween pieces by Linda at The Talking Crow . They make me think of drinking hot apple cider next to a bonfire. You'll also find kits at The Talking Crow if you'd like to try your hand at needle punching.  Pumpkin Juggler Table Mat Playful Crow and Pumpkin Table Mat Pumpkin Full of Flowers and Crow Stack of Pumpkins Pillow Pumpkin Joy Black Cat on Pumpkin Pillow These are so cute! I want them all.

Tiny Terrors Tuesday: Creation Cottage

I've found the most adorably, spooky, Halloween miniatures! They're made by Chris Okubo and get this- they're made from porcelain! You'll find these at Creation Cottage and each tiny piece is hand-painted and unique. I'm amazed at the detail and am in love with each and every one of them. I have to get to work on my haunting dollhouse. By the way, I've put that off till after Halloween. There is way too much going on right now. I'll start up again in the Miserable Season, but more about that in the future. Miniature Halloween Ghoul Miniature Porcelain Clown Tiny Halloween Village Halloween Pumpkin Ghoul Halloween Black Cat Figure Miniature Pumpkin Man Acorn Fairy Light These are so adorable that I may change my entire miniature haunted house idea just to suit them.

Macabre Mix Monday

Here's a mix of pieces by a variety of Halloween artists I spied this past week that sent my heart beating a little quicker. Think of Macabre Mix Mondays as a tiny Halloween market. And if the item you desire is already sold, then check out the artist's shop because there are often more wonderful pieces there. Bat Screen Print from Nora Aoyagi Punch Needle Jack-o'-lantern from Greta's Mother Oak King Greenman Mask from Wing and Talon Salem, MA Halloween Painting by Patty Bonner Original Paper Cut Devil's Jaunt from Ulla Milbrath Swanky Vamp Painting from Melissa Belanger Hand Carved Scary Jack-o'-lantern from Creative Carving Shop Needle Punch Tombstone from Perfect Prim Punch Ta da! I hope you've found something here that gives you shivers of delight.

Halloween Wooden Figures: Bernadette Deming

The colorful Halloween figures from Bernadette Deming are really cute. They're made from wood and Deming hand-paints them in whimspookal style. ("whimspookal" is my word and I'm not going to stop using it no matter what my dictionary tells me.) Each piece is one-of-a-kind and you'll want at least one for your collection.  Vintage Inspired Jack-o'-lantern Girly Girl Dressed as Bat Halloween Skelly Halloween Jack-o'-lantern Stack Black Cat Treats Jack-o'-lantern After looking at these, I feel the need to go eat some candy. Don't forget that I posted on Thursday evening (and every Thursday evening while the shopping is good) the Halloween markets and shops I'll be visiting this weekend for the newest Halloween art available. Check it out if you still have some cash to spend- or in my case, even if you don't.

Halloween Spun Cotton Cuties: Stan And Stew

Pamela Plant has been busy filling up her shop Stan And Stew with adorable spun cotton Halloween figures. Plant's figures are typically cats and dogs, but you'll see some owls and skeletons this time around. Plant has partnered with Johanna Parker for some of these new designs. I just love them all!  Black Cat Cone Bulldog Halloween Tree Topper Grey Tabby Merry Halloween Box Skelly Ghostie Nut Cut Owl Boy Halloween Tree Topper There are nearly 300 spun cotton Halloween figures in this shop! You're going to have a hard time picking your favorite.

Halloween Jewelry: Black Cat Links

There is still time to buy pieces for your month-long Halloween wardrobe. After all, we have to look like the Queens of Halloween! I'm keen on the ceramic jewelry by Amy Lloyd Young. The designs are fun and I like the washed color effect she uses. Check these out at Black Cat Links . Haunted House Necklace Pumpkin Earrings Gothic Raven Necklace      Sugar Skull Necklace Goth Graveyard Necklace You'll look great in any of these pieces. Shop them before they're gone!

Needle Felted Halloween: Aron Lowe

Aron Lowe was one of the Halloween artists participating in last weekend's Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween market. If you missed the show I'm sorry because it was fantastic as usual. Sure, I missed being able to see the craftsmanship in person and I definitely missed seeing the decorated booths and seeing friends as the show went online this year, but it would have been worse not to be able to shop it at all. By the way, during this busy shopping season, I've been posting a list of the upcoming Halloween art shows I'll be attending every Thursday on my Facebook page so you don't miss out. Fortunately for you, Aron Lowe's shop still has some of her whimspookal Halloween felted art for you to purchase! Skull and Pumpkin Totem Goat Devil Pumpkin Totem Reading Witch with Toads Posable Vampire Lady Overgrown Skull There is lots more to see in this shop and I have a feeling additional items will be added as the season continues.
