Jessica Joslin

The works of Jessica Joslin make me want to cry. They are so beautiful my heart wants to explode. Joslin brings together skeletons, miniatures, and steampunk in such a delicate way that the pieces rise to the level of pure genius in my eyes.

Joslin's biography on Artsy.net:
Jessica Joslin transforms unexpected found objects such as bullet casings, old brass buttons, musical instrument parts, bones, and other nostalgic ephemera into skeletal animal figures ranging in size from one inch to six feet. Her work stems from an enchantment with Victorian-era taxidermy and osteological displays encountered in numerous natural history museums she explored as a child.

Joslin compares her work to that of an artisan watchmaker. Here are just a few of her exquisite creations.

Admit it, you want to cry now too.
