Primitive Paranormal Woodcraft

I usually acquaint primitive woodcrafts with adorable ducks and jolly cows that sit along a kitchen windowsill. Cute, but not for me. Wesley Salen (Charleston, SC) is making art for those of us who prefer dark attics to kitchen windowsills. He makes all sorts of creatures of the night that are far from cute. The designs are simple, but I think that makes them a little more haunting.

Salen has the supernatural in his blood because he is also the author of several paranormal novels. You can find Across Loves Divide on Amazon if you're interested. His woodcraft shop is Primitively Coastal.

You'll also find a few lighthouses and egrets in Salen's shop. He lives on the coast and has to sell to the tourists after all.
