The gallery and shop
La Madame Bazarre was fun to wander through in New Orleans. Besides festive costume jewelry and clothing, there was an exhibit of clay sculptures by Lateefah Wright called "Sideshow Sirens of the Swamp." These would look great tucked into a grotto covered with spanish moss. Many of the sculptures are music boxes or are banks to save your pennies. The sirens have a circus freak aspect that is alluring. These are noble freaks that command attention and know that they are better than you.
