DIY Paper Haunted Houses

Designer Ray Keim, who is part of the Universal Orlando Halloween Nights design team, offers do-it-yourself paper models of haunted houses that he created. Best of all, they're all free on his website Haunted Dimensions! This looks like an entertaining rainy day project. There are even directions for making a haunted gingerbread house. It looks amazing, but is beyond my skills. It might be fun to make one with friends while drinking spirited cocktails, however.

There are a bunch of paper haunted mansions, tombstones, and other spooky things for you to create. If you start now, you could have them all finished by Halloween. Check these out.

Phantom Manor
The Bates House
The Skoolhouse
Leota's Tombstone
Torre del Cielo
The Crypts

Sharpen your scissors and Xacto knives and remember: glue and cat fur do not mix.
