Spooky Dollhouse Figures: Bohemian Mermaid Art

I'm looking for just the right doll for my Edward Gorey inspired, miniature room. If I don't find it soon, I'm afraid I'm going to have to make it myself! gulp. I came across a miniature doll artist that creates spooky, dollhouse size, figures that have me thinking about doing another miniature room. Valarie Pacheco sculpts and sews the tiny dolls. Her shop is Bohemian Mermaid Art.

Pins To Celebrate The Dead: GNAT and RAT

There are so many great pins with macabre images out there it's really hard to decide which to choose. And then, there is the question of wearing them or displaying them. I almost gave up until I came up with an idea of how I wanted to wear pins. You'll have to wait for that post because I'm still working on it, but suffice to say, I'm in a pin buying mood again! GNAT and RAT has some fabulous acrylic pins that celebrate dead stuff. Natalie Bradford is the artist and she also carries earrings, patches, and art in her shop.

Jack O'Lanterns To Last A Lifetime: Pinch Me Boutique

I absolutely love gourds that are dried and carved like jack o'lanterns. I have a few and even when one of our cats knocked one of them down and it rolled, thumping, down the stairs I was able to glue the pieces back together and it looked even spookier. Pinch Me Boutique has a large selection of large and small carved gourds. Now is the time to buy before the selection gets picked over. In fact, I need to buy more.

Miniature Houses of Horror: The Haunted Warehouse

Fridays are for spooky miniatures and while these reproduction, horror-movie houses won't help you with the Shivers Miniature Room Challenge, they're so cool that I had to show them to you. Maybe they'll give you some inspiration. You'll find them at The Haunted Warehouse and the artist makes them all by hand from her (?) own designs. Paper Clay Halloween Decor: VanDolls Folk Art

I'm adding to my Halloween collection at a furious pace. Yesterday, I realized that if I brought my lunch to work I could use my lunch money to buy more Halloween art! Every purchase I make is scrutinized to decide if I really need it right now or could I use that money to buy more Halloween stuff. It's a sickness I tell you.

What that means is that I'm constantly looking everywhere for the best in Halloween decor.  For instance, I keep an eye on VanDolls Folk Art and can tell you it's stocked with wonderful items for you to skip lunch for. Rachel Garrison is the artist and she creates whimspookal figures from paper clay. I love the vintage look to them. I already swooped in and purchased a devil treat bucket.
