Halloween Chalkware

Do you know what chalkware is? I didn't. It's the American term for figurines made from poured or moulded plaster of Paris. There, don't you feel smarter? MMPrimitives uses vintage chocolate moulds for their figures. They have lots of Easter bunnies for sale, but there are some pretty cool Halloween figures too.

Halloween Silhouettes

I'm starting to think about how I'll change up our outdoor Halloween decorations this year. Nothing major, I think I just want to add a few new things. You probably know that I have a "thing" about making sure that your daytime decorations look as good as your nighttime decorations. (No deflated creatures lying on the lawn in full view please.) I'm considering adding a few silhouettes this year for daytime viewing. There are several online shops I like.

Ye Olde Halloween

Here I go again, falling in love with the idea of a good, old-fashioned Halloween.  I just wanted to be surrounded by magic spells these days rather than a lot of stressful blood and gore. Which is why I'm sweet on the soft sculptures from Cold Creek Primitives. I want to hear the cackle of a witch instead of the roar of a chainsaw. Can you blame me?
