Oops. I forgot that I was going to post about Edward Gorey's book The Haunted Tea-Cosy during Christmas. Gorey's book is sort of a retelling of Dicken's A Christmas Carol. Instead of Scrooge and his ghosts, Gorey presents Edmund Gravel and his evening with the Ghost of Christmas that Never Was, the Ghost of Christmas That Isn't, and the Ghost of Christmas that Never Will Be. It's the perfect gift for those who have high expectations for Christmas and are disappointed every year.
To make up for my forgetfulness, I'm bringing you a tea cosy or two for your consideration. Maybe one of them will even turn out to be haunted if you're lucky.
Several of these tea cosys are patterns so if you fall in love with one and don't knit you'd better find a best friend that does.
